CEILING BEAM MATERIAL
All of our Faux Wood Ceiling Beams are manufactured in a High Density Urethane (HDU) foam polymer that is similar in density to White Pine. HDU can be cut, sawed, shaped, routed, nailed, screwed and glued just like real wood, but it's much lighter in weight, won't crack, flake, blister or warp and is completely waterproof making it an ideal material for both interior and exterior applications. Furthermore, our special in-mold priming process creates a superior, protective base for top-coating on all face surfaces of the Beams.
HDU foam is also environmentally friendly. For every piece of HDU millwork purchased there is one less strain put on the world's natural forest resources.
