The Tilton Box Beam Coffered Ceiling System gives you a wide variety of options to customize the beam styles and sizing. We offer two (2) distinct Beam Styles (Overlay & Inset) in five (5) standard Depths and four (4) standard Heights each that can be mixed and matched to meet your specific needs and desires. With hundreds of possible combinations you're sure to find a ceiling beam Style and Size that‘s perfect for your project.
OVERLAY STYLE CEILING BEAMS
Click Image to EnlargeThe Overlay Style Ceiling Beam is a standard configuration on all Tilton Box Beam Coffered Ceiling Systems and refers to how the Beam Bottom Board component is applied over and fastened to the bottom edges of the Beam Wall Board components. The clean classic lines of Overlay style exposed beam ceilings pair timelessly with any decor while also lending themselves to additional embellishments such as Applied Moldings, Appliques or Rosettes.

INSET STYLE CEILING BEAMS
Click Image to EnlargeThe Inset Style Ceiling Beam is an optional configuration for any Tilton Box Beam Coffered Ceiling System and refers to how the Beam Bottom Board component is applied between the Beam Wall Board components with an inset reveal. The reveal that's used with the Inset Style Beam application creates a recess on the bottom of the beam that adds to the visual interest of any decorative beams on ceiling treatment.

The conventional construction that a Tilton Box Beam Ceiling System improves upon, also provides you with the opportunity to route and hide mechanical items such as electrical wires, A/C ducts, A/V wiring, plumbing etc. within the hollow cavity of the systems beams. Thus eliminating the need to route these items through the ceiling structure or in the joist bays which may not always be ideal or possible.
